Divorce To Husband
Cecil Lancelot Cowling, of Young street, Parkside, sued for divorce from Phyllis Mary Cowling, of Manton street, Hindmarsh, alleging her adultery with Harry Downer Gibbs, of Port road, Hindmarsh, and claiming £500 damages from Gibbs.
The defendants did not defend the action, except Gibbs as to damages.
His Honor granted Cowling an order nisi for divorce, and £50 damages. He said "I don't think the wife was much to lose."
