Served in WWI with the Royal Flying Corps & Royal Air Force as a mechanic. No entry on casualty card. Enlisted 20 Feb 1917, discharged 19 Feb 1925. Was in hospital in Lahore, India in January 1920. Married in April or May 1925 just before emigrating.
Emigrated to Canada on the SS Megantic departing Liverpool 15 May 1925 & arriving Quebec 23 May 1925 along with wife Maud. Name of relative in Canada given was brother W. Hunt at address 146 Robina Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
Traveled to England in April 1932 on the Montclare departing St John, New Brunswick & arriving at Liverpool. Proposed address in the UK was 23 Surrey Street, St Andrews, Bristol (sister Agnes (Dessie)). This was probably only a visit as Dessie went to live next to him in Canada in 1962.
